|---|---|
| Grading basis | Size or weight, with outlet count set per project |
| Position | After washing, waxing and drying, before packing |
How it works
Fruit is fed through a grading stage that separates it into defined size or weight grades. It is part of the fresh-fruit sorting and waxing route: elevate, wash, air-dry, wax, dry and grade before packing.
Selection notes
- Specify the grade boundaries your market requires and the number of outlets.
- Match the feed from washing and waxing so grading is not the bottleneck.
- Handle reject and rework routes before the layout is fixed.
